We combine recent quasar results from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey and discuss their implications in terms of deriving physical parameters from eigenvector analysis. In particular, we demonstrate that the quality of the SDSS data allows for the addition of the optical/UV SED of quasars to eigenvector analysis. We find that the colors of quasars are correlated with other properties that are typically used in eigenvector analysis such as the BAL likelihood, emission line strength, emission line blueshifts, and Balmer emission line widths. However, these properties are not completely correlated with the existing eigenvector trends. We suggest that current eigenvector analysis may be biased by color-dependent selection effects and that using a less biased quasar sample, such as the SDSS sample, may lead to a more fundamental eigenvector basis that may be better suited for determining physical parameters of AGNs.
