The maximum light magnitude of a Type Ia supernova can be used to calculate a distance modulus accurate to 0.15mag. With ground-based telescopes we can find and measure luminosity distances out to z=1.2. The accuracy of the luminosity distance depends critically on the estimated reddening and the accuracy of the K-corrections. In this project, we have developed tools to calculate K-corrections based on our CTIO atlas of spectrophotometry of nearby Type Ia supernovae. We have reproduced K-corrections in the B and V-bands for redshifts between z=0.005-0.45.
