The number of Galactic supernova remnants (SNRs) known to possess non-thermal components to their X-ray spectrum is small but growing. The X-ray spectra of three Galactic SNRs -- SN 1006, G266.2-1.2 and G347.3-0.5 -- are known to be dominated by non-thermal emission, while two other SNRs -- Cas A and RCW 86 -- feature prominent thermal and non-thermal components in their spectra. We have conducted a spatially-resolved spectral study of these SNRs and several others (such as G156.2+5.7) using data from several different X-ray observatories (ROSAT, ASCA and RXTE) in order to both increase the number of known sources which feature this emission and augment our current understanding of this phenomenon. Results and conclusions from this work will be presented. The authors acknowledge support for this work from NASA LTSA grant NAG5-9237.
