The Red Rectangle is one of the best studied proto-planetary nebulae, which are objects in transition between the asymptotic giant branch and planetary nebula phases. We have observed the Red Rectangle with the Berkeley-Illinois-Maryland Association (BIMA) millimeter array to study the molecular gas distribution in the CO J=1-0 line and the dust distribution in the 2.6 mm continuum. We compare these observations with our Near-Infrared IMager (NIRIM) images of the H2 2.12 um line and FeII 1.64 um line taken at the WIYN telescope. We discuss how these results compare with other tracers of the circumstellar envelope. This work has been supported by NSF AST 99-81363 and NSF AST 97-33679.
