The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association's (NOAA) Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) make routine observations of the Sun in the wavelength bands 0.1-0.8 nm and 0.05-0.4 nm. Data have been archived since 1995. Global characteristics of this time series of data will be presented and compared with Chandra observations of NGC 2516.
