We use Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer All Sky Monitor data collected over a period of seven years to search for periodic modulation in the X-ray flux from the low mass X-ray binary GX 13+1. From a filtered data set which excludes observations with atypically large error bars we find strong evidence for modulation at a period of approximately 24 days. The modulation is most clearly detectable at high energies (5 - 12 keV) but has greater relative modulation at low energies (1.5 - 3 keV). The hardness ratio is also modulated on this period. RXTE Proportional Counter Array monitoring observations were also obtained over the course of approximately 50 days and we use these observations to investigate the cause of the spectral changes.
