The normal incidence telescopes on SDO/AIA cover coronal emission from Fe VIII, IX, XII, XIV, XVI, XVIII, XX, XXIII, and XXIV. The grazing incidence soft x-ray telescope on Hinode/XRT covers emission from 4-60A, including the critical Fe XVII L-Shell emission. We will compare the morphology and dynamics of active regions transient brightenings seen with AIA and XRT to understand the complementarity of these two telescopes.
