I shall discuss the properties of interstellar turbulence that follow both from numerical simulations and from observations. I shall show that using the newly developed statistical technique termed Velocity Channel Analysis it is possible to get velocity statistics of the interstellar turbulence. The statistics obtained using the technique for Galactic and Small Magellanic Cloud HI is consistent with that obtained from numerical simulations of MHD turbulence. I shall also show that the statistics of magnetic field that follows from synchrotron and dust polarization data is also consistent with MHD turbulence picture. Finally, I shall discuss what new advances in the theory of MHD turbulence imply for cosmic ray propagation, heat transfer, and dynamics of dust.
