Linear compressive waves are numerically simulated using two fluid gyro-tropic transport equations for the solar wind flows. A low frequency (much lower than proton gyro-frequency) driver introduced at the corona can excite both ion sound wave and a much faster wave propagating into interplanetary space along the open magnetic field lines. The phase speed of the faster wave is the order of electron thermal speed: the wave can be much faster than an ion sound wave or an Alfvén wave. We will discuss the implications of our result for the corona and solar wind studies.
