ChaMP, the Chandra Multiwavelength Project, is producing a large database of optical, radio, and other wavelength data to complement the archived observations made by the Chandra X-ray observatory. A key component of the project is the classification of X-ray objects using optical spectroscopy. We develop and test a semi-automated cross-correlation routine on a bright (r'<17) and on a fainter (1780% of the identified AGN and for 60% of identified galaxies. The overall X-ray and optical properties of the extragalactic faint sample are also presented and briefly discussed. The ChaMP project can be found on the web at http://hea-www.harvard.edu/CHAMP/. This work was funded in part by NSF grant AST-9731923 through the SAO Summer Intern Program.
