Quantitative estimates of possible rapid (about 1 hour) variations of the optical thickness of the Venus cloud layer are obtained via the solution of the radiative transfer equation. Previously published results of Venera-13 and Venera-14 television and spectrophotometric measurements are used as initial experimental data. For a wavelength of 0.62 microns, the parameters obtained earlier within the framework of a stationary atmosphere are compared with those obtained in the present work which account for possible changes in the atmosphere during the descent of the probes.
