We present the results of long-term timing measurements of the radio pulsars PSR J0538+2817 and PSR B1853+01. The first of them is apparently associated with the well-known galactic anticenter remnant S147, but no conclusive proof of a physical connection between the two objects exists. A timing activity of PSR J0538+2817 is typical of middle-aged pulsars, but it is high enough to make the timing astrometry of this object unreliable. Radio interferometry and X-ray observations of the W44 remnant strongly suggests that PSR B1853+01 is associated with it. Here, we report a detection of three timing glitches in this source and show that its overall timing activity is comparable to that of the Crab pulsar.
