The use of mm-wave and submm-wave systems for radar, communications, and radiometric applications are discussed. The systems offer narrow beamwidths, high resolution, excellent propagation characteristics, and wide frequency bandwiths. Topics considered include mm-wave systems for precision guidance, tracking, and target signature, mm-wave and submm-wave radioastronomy systems, and mm-wave meteorology systems.
