A frequency analysis of broadband UBV photometric observations of KX And has confirmed the rapid periodic variability of this interacting binary, along with a long-term variability due to orbital motion. The results do not corroborate the period length proposed by Stagg et al. (1988). Rotation modulation, flickering in the disk around the primary, and some kind of pulsation are considered as explanations for the present phenomenon, and only the pulsation hypothesis is found to account for the observed variations.
