Continuous spectra and absorption line spectra of accretion disks in cataclysmic variables in the range between 100 and 100,000 A were computed, with the computations restricted to stationary optically thick, but geometrically thin, accretion disks with simplified atmospheres. A much larger parameter range was covered than those covered by previous investigators, with respect to the influence of the mass of the white dwarf, the inner and the outer disk radii, the mass transfer rate, and the angle of inclination. The comparison of these computations with the results of similar computations by other groups revealed discrepancies in the results, which are larger than should be expected from merely making somewhat different assumptions underlying the computations.
