The concept and design of two astronomy payloads to be flown on Spacelab are presented. One is a 60 cm UV telescope coupled with an X-ray detector; the second is a 100 cm ultraviolet telescope. Basic configurations of both instruments and their expected performances are discussed. Scientific capabilities of UTEX and MUST are summarized and compared to other projects in space astronomy.
