Continuous photometric observations in the uvbyβ system of A-F type stars belonging to ten open clusters with ages between 35 and 800 Myr were performed during five years. With the purpose of detecting a higher number of gamma Doradus variable stars from our dataset two statistical tests were developed. As a result, 41 of 175 observed objects were classified as variable stars, around of 23% of the sample. From those stars for which it was possible to perform a frequency analysis, we discovered besides eight gamma Dor candidates, three SPB stars, two eclipsing binaries and one SX Phe variable.
