An analytic expression has been derived for the coefficient of transformation of an electron wave into an ion wave in a multi-component collisionless plasma with two sorts of ions. It may be applied when the angle between the direction of the propagation of the wave (along the plasma inhomogeneity) and the external magnetic field is quite small. It is applicable to the ionosphere at a height of 1000 km where the frequency of the electron wave being transformed is 250 Hz.
