A statistical study correlating low-frequency electromagnetic wave propagation in the ionosphere, solar X-ray radiation and ranges of solar activity is reported. The level of solar X-ray radiation is found to correlate with the energetics of the electromagnetic wave propagation; a background level of Sudden Enhancement of Atmospherics (SEA) and a higher degree of enhancement are distinguished. Solar activity ranges determined from Solar Geophysical Data are also correlated to the SEA levels.
