A survey has been made of initially inhomogeneous solar models to study their neutrino fluxes. In the course of this survey quantitative results have been obtained for three types of hypothetical inhomogeneities in the interior of the initial sun: (1) a reduction of the heavy-element abundance Z causes a moderate decrease in the neutrino flux, (2) small inert cores increase this flux, and (3) an increase in the interior hydrogen content strongly decreases the neutrino flux but causes Rayleigh-Taylor instability.
