Numerous minima for five relatively long-period close binaries are listed. The periods for the primary and secondary minima are evaluated, and the differences and similarities between these periods are discussed for each system. Agreement in an algebraic sense between the theoretical and observed period changes is shown for two binaries, but there is no agreement at the 1-sigma level between the magnitudes of the theoretical and observed period changes. For the remaining three binaries, period differences are not yet established.
