A self-similar unsteady-state solution is obtained for the problem of spherical accretion in the gravitational field of a point mass. Constant finite mass flows are specified at infinity and at the center, with the flow at infinity greater than at the center. The pressure gradient throughout space, including the region ahead of some shock front, is taken into account. The problem is also solved for an adiabatic exponent of 5/3.
