A simple explanation is offered for the apparent center-anticenter redshift anisotropy within the Local Supergalaxy. The Hubble law is tentatively assumed to be valid locally, and this assumption is shown to be in accord with observations when selection effects causing the distance moduli of anticenter galaxies to be underestimated are taken into account. It is suggested that the combined effect of luminosity selection and inhomogeneous galaxy distribution within the Local Supergalaxy might be the reason for the postulated supergalactic center-anticenter redshift anisotropy.
