The Swift Gamma-ray Burst Explorer mission, launched on 2004 November
20, is a multiwavelength observatory for gamma-ray burst astronomy. Here
we report on the status of the mission at 2 years from the launch. We
use the exceptional dataset of GRB 060814 as an example to illustrate
the kind of temporal and spectral analysis that Swift data allow.
