Procedure and results of computations of model atmospheres, synthetic spectra, spectral energy distributions (SEDs), and fits them to observed spectra of M- and C-giants as well giants with anomalies of abundances are discussed. Blanketing effects due to absorption of atomic and molecular lines are taken into account within the framework of opacity sampling approach. Model atmospheres and syntetic spectra are computed in LTE, the specific opacities are implemented.
