We present the results of our numerical multi-dimensional, multi-group models of core collapse supernovae. These numerical simulations have been carried out by means of a parallelized 2-D radiation hydrodynamics code using highly optimized numerical algorithms. We have utilized this code to study convection in the post-bounce epoch of the supernova. The models include a realistic parameterized equation of state and multi-dimensional neutrino transport. We will discuss the numerical algorithms employed and how micro-physics is implemented in the simulations. We will also present the results of parameter studies in which the micro-physical parameters have been varied in order to delineate their role in determining the dynamics of the convective flow. Finally, we will discuss the influence of the radiation transport algorithm on the results of numerical simulations.
