The quadratic ephemerides of the W UMa systems U Pegasi and AB Andromedae are computed from photoelectric and photometric data to analyze the objects' periodicities. The minima obtained for the present work are incorporated into the minima obtained by Lafta and Grainger (1986) for the quadratic ephemerides calculation. U Pegasi is found to have a decreasing period with a rate of change of -0.91 s/century, while AB Andromedae increases steadily at 0.83 s/century, and the existence of a third unseen object is postulated.
