Scientific paper
The repetitions of the flare star H II 2411 are analyzed to determine whether periodicities exist in the flare phenomena. The data are taken from observations beginning in 1962 and are subjected to analysis by the formalism by Lomb (1976) and Scargle (1982) which accounts for both nonuniform point-spacing and observational noise. Two periods are identified, and the flare phenomena in the object are found to be similar to the flare activities of the sun.
