Results are presented from an analysis of the current/voltage data obtained by OEDIPUS A (Observations of Electric Field Distributions in the Auroral Plasma, a Unique Strategy) experiment, which was launched from the Andoya Rocket Range on January 30, 1989 toward a moderate auroral arc. Results from measurements of the natural and induced electric fields showed a good correspondence with results of a voltmeter and agree well with the mathematical model of Godard and Laframboise (1983) for collisionless plasma flow.
