This report covers a complete synodic period from 1987 August to 1989 April and is based on observations submitted by 36 members of the Section. Dark cloud shadings were frequently observed, as were terminator irregularities. The south cusp cap was more active than its northern counterpart. Observers participated in a worldwide ashen light campaign.
