The existence of stable and unstable quantum levels in the sun's
gravitational field is disproved by a statistical analysis of the
average sizes of photographic and radar meteor orbits. Elementary
numerical examples illustrate the untenability of ideas on mega- or
macro-quantization of orbits in the solar system.
