A distribution for the Galactic gamma-ray line emissions at 1809 and 511 keV is proposed. It is suggested that both the diffuse Al-26 and the e(+)e(-) emission are reflected by the distribution of thin hot plasma as derived from X-ray observations of the Galactic ridge. The model consists of a flat Galactic distribution with enhanced features at l = + or - 25 deg and a dominant narrow peak at the Galactic center containing a third of the total emission in the central radian. This hypothesis is substantiated by theoretical and observational considerations. The proposed distribution is consistent with the present measurements of the gamma-ray line at 1809 keV and almost all the observations at 511 keV. Evidence for a connection between the thin hot plasma and gamma-ray line emission is presented. Injection of kinetic energy into the interstellar medium is inherent in the sites of Al-26 nucleosynthesis.
