The problem of determining the intensity and the degree of polarization of radiation emerging from an inhomogeneous finite plane medium for the case of Rayleigh scattering with internal energy source is considered. A system of coupled integral equations are obtained and solved by the Galerkin method. The degree of polarization for homogeneous and inhomogeneous media are calculated for uniform and nonuniform sources.
