The observed Fe lines from AGN raise a series of problems not easily solved by photoionization models. In previous papers, it has been shown that composite models, which take into account the effect of shock hydrodynamics and photoionization, can successfully explain most of the observational features concerning the narrow emision line region of AGN. In this paper, the Fe lines are calculated by the composite models, and compared to observations. It is shown that the postshocked high temperature zone formed by compression is responsible for most of the forbidden Fe VII and forbidden Fe X line intensities. The theoretical values for forbidden Fe II 26-micron, forbidden Fe III 4658-A, forbidden Fe VII 6087-A and forbidden Fe X 6374-A relative to H-beta, are given for different sets of the input parameters. It is shown that the observed Fe lines are better explained by an ejection scenario.
