Synthetic spectra computed from radiative models of the Jovian thermal
structure are compared with observed spectra. The results imply a
subsaturated NH3 abundance near the temperature minimum, and an
additional opacity source near 1100 kaysers. Evidence is found for the
presence of PH3 consistent with a solar P abundance.
