Interstellar extinction laws in the far ultraviolet have been determined from observations of several hundred stars distributed throughout the galactic plane. The stars have been divided into groups according to their galactic positions, and a mean extinction curve has been derived for each region. These do not show any significant differences, and all the observations, incorporating UBV data, have been used to give a single mean extinction curve in terms of total extinction for unit visual color excess. A number of ultraviolet color excesses are shown to have the same mean value per unit visual color excess (B-V) in each galactic region, thereby confirming the apparent constancy of the interstellar extinction law. However, in the case of the color excess E(2190-2500), which is linearly related to the 2200-A feature, a few individual stars appear to show anomalous behavior.
