The data on nearby Sc galaxies provided by Sandage and Tammann have been reanalyzed in order to take into account the luminosity selection still existing in the velocity range below 2000 km/sec. This leads to a revised local value of H = 41 plus or minus 3 km per sec per Mpc, assuming that the Sandage-Tammann calibration for the bright luminosity classes is valid.
