Supersymmetric Partners Of Known Particles, Particle-Theory And Field-Theory Models Of The Early Universe
Scientific paper
We consider the phenomenological and cosmological properties of light neutralinos in the minimal supersymmetric model when grand-unification assumptions are relaxed. We show that substantial changes result in the mass and mixing properties of the neutralinos, in the interpretation of recent experimental restrictions on neutralino parameter space, and in the relic abundance of light-neutralino dark matter. Relaxation of the grand-unification assumptions is easily accomplished, even within the minimal supergravity model, and results in a larger neutralino parameter space and the viability of light-neutralino (<~10-20 GeV) dark matter.
