Slowly variable early F-type stars (hereafter sveF stars) are presently an enigma. Krisciunas(1993) gave a summary of the status of knowledge about these odd objects, which are situated near the cool border of the Delta Scuti instabilitystrip, but vary with time scales longer than the expected value for pulsation in the fundamental radial mode. Krisciunas suggested that pulsation with g-modes is a more likely explanation for the observed variations than rotational light modulation due to star spots. Recently, Mantegazza et al. (1994) extensively studied two new variables of this group and argued that the spot hypothesis should not be ruled out. Here I want to direct the attention of the community to another possible member, GM Com.
