The minimum-variance analysis reveals a strong anisotropy in the magnetic fluctuations measured in the interplanetary space. Using a typical spectral shape for the energy fluctuations, previously derived in the framework of incompressible anisotropic MHD turbulence, we relate the measured anisotropy to the free spectral parameters. Some constraints on the correlation lengths, characteristic of the energy spectrum, are then derived.
