Combinations of instantaneous amplitudes and periods of the Chandler
wobble of the earth's polar motions during 1962-1982 are calculated. The
calculations are performed with the aid of a numerical quasi-polynomial
model with variable parameters. Empirical laws of amplitude and period
changes over the 20-yr interval are determined.
