Sodium abundances for CN-strong and CN-weak metal-poor dwarfs are
presented which show that the light element (Na and Al) abundance
anomaly associated with CN band strengths in the globular clusters also
appears in field dwarfs. This discovery places the origin of the anomaly
with the primordial material from which the stars formed.
