In the paper "Ring Structure in Disk Galaxies" by C. E. Zaspel (ApJ, 385, 83 [1992]) the assumption that the effect of the halo on the dynamics of a disk can be neglected was attributed to K. G. Begeman, A. H. Broeils, & R. H. Sanders (MNRAS, 249,523 [1991]). However, this assumption was made earlier by T. S. Van Albada & R. Sancisi (Phil. Trans. R. Soc. Lond. A, 320,447 [1986]), and it was shown to be true for the inner regions of disk galaxies by M. Persic & P. Salucci (ApJ, 355,44 [1990]). The author thanks M. Persic for bringing this to his attention.
