The cluster membership of the star 'BS 47 Tuc' is investigated. It is suggested that, on the basis of the spectrophotometric mass (25-100 solar masses), cluster distance, modulus, spectrophotometric values of bolometric correction, T(eff), and log(g), the star is not a member of the cluster, as all evolved stars in that cluster have masses near 0.9 solar mass. The observed V magnitude and the UV flux are more consistent with a Pop I metallicity, and the star is therefore more likely to be a foreground star.
