Data on all galaxies that are known to be located within 1.0 Mpc have been used to determine the shape of the Local Group luminosity function over a range of 13 mag. These data may be represented by a Schechter function with Alpha = -1.1 and M*V = -22.5. The luminosity function of the Local Group, which extends over a range of at least 13 mag, shows no evidence for a low-luminosity cutoff.
