Bl Lacertae Objects: General, Galaxies: Distances And Redshifts, Galaxies: Jets, X-Rays: Galaxies
Scientific paper
We show that X-ray selected BL Lacertae objects obey the Hubble relation
and have a roughly constant spectrum from object to object, from X-rays
to radio frequencies. Radio-selected BL Lac objects do not obey the
Hubble relation and we confirm that their fluxes are strongly enhanced
by the relativistic Doppler beaming effect.
