The amplitude modulation of low-degree solar p-modes obtained from the analysis of daily data observed at International Research on the Interior of the Sun (IRIS) network station at Kumbel (Uzbekistan) is discussed using the statistical approach of Gabriel (1993). It is found that the dispersion in peak energy reflects mainly the length of the daily observations. We conclude that there is no contradiction between observations and theory and if observational results are taken at face value, we can rule out some type of mode correlations.
