We present Chandra and FUSE spectra of the line of sight towards Mrk 421. In the Chandra spectrum we detect two intervening systems through absorption lines of highly ionized metals such as O VII. Through detailed modeling, we derive physical conditions in the absorption systems, which are found to be similar to those expected from filaments of warm-hot intergalactic medium. We find that most of the missing baryons at low redshift indeed reside in the warm-hot intergalctic medium.
