The FUSE spacecraft has provided us with new insights into the physics of accretion and mass flow in the Algol binaries. Highlights from eclipse/totality observations of three systems with B-type primaries (V356 Sgr, TT Hya, and RY Per) are presented. The location of the hot circumstellar plasma that produces prominent emission lines from C III, N II, N III, O VI, Si III, Si IV, and Fe III has been mapped. The O VI region is located well outside the orbital plane with a component formed near the site of the gas stream impact but the moderate-ionization species appear to originate in the accretion disk. It is argued that the flow perpendicular to the orbital plane is caused from a splash of material as the gas stream impacts the mass gainer's photosphere or inner accretion disk.
