Cosmological Constant, Cosmology: Galaxy Counts
Scientific paper
Recent observations favor a high value of H0. Introducing a cosmological constant is a major way of solving the age paradox while maintaining the universe flat. The authors investigate a cosmology of (h, ΩΛ, ΩM) = (0.8, 0.8, 0.2) and confront its predictions with the observations of high-redshift elliptical galaxies. Although the observations shows a preference for the ΩΛ = 0.8 model over the ΩΛ = 0 model, the standard model cannot yet be excluded.
